Click-to-Book Charter Is Coming: Tuvoli IQ, Intelligent Quoting, and the Next-Gen GDS

Click-to-book is not magic. If your schedule data is messy, automation fails. Here’s what Greg says operators must fix first.

Everyone wants click-to-book for private jet charter. But Greg Johnson, President and CEO of Tuvoli, is blunt about what has to be true first: your internal data needs to be good enough that you can stand behind instant decisions.

In the transcript, Greg describes Tuvoli’s approach as incremental by design. Change too much at once, and adoption fails. Build modules that create immediate value, and users come along.

That’s why Tuvoli started with checkout and payment infrastructure, then expanded into broader sales workflow, and now is moving into sourcing and intelligent quoting.

Why click-to-book breaks in real life

Greg points out the core operator reality:

  • Even with “perfect” availability data, things change the moment you accept a trip.

  • Crews shift. Maintenance pops up. A prior leg has an issue.

  • The goal is not perfect certainty. The goal is faster, better decisions with solid margins.

So the click-to-book problem is not only about automation. It’s about having reliable inputs, and not relying on “gut feel” alone.

The missing piece: a true sales system

Greg’s critique of the typical charter scheduling stack is sharp: most scheduling systems were built from a compliance mindset, and sales features were added later.

Tuvoli’s strategy is the opposite. They are building a sales system and integrating with scheduling solutions instead of trying to replace them. Their focus is charter sales outcomes: speed, close rate, and margin.

Tuvoli IQ and intelligent quoting

Greg describes a new product launching alongside the next-gen marketplace: Tuvoli IQ, positioned as “intelligent quoting.” It’s designed to handle the operator-specific rules that most systems ignore, including aircraft-by-aircraft constraints and the messy realities of how charter is actually sold.

He also explains why pricing “gut feel” is not random. It’s learned behavior based on patterns of wins and losses. The opportunity is turning that learned intuition into repeatable logic, backed by system-of-record data.

Marketplace vs global distribution system

Greg frames the next evolution as more than a marketplace. He calls it closer to a global distribution system, and he explains why charter is harder than rideshare marketplaces: charter needs liquidity on day one.

He shares platform scale figures in the episode to make the point that Tuvoli has been building volume first before pushing the next layer.

The takeaway

Click-to-book will not be won by the flashiest demo.

Greg’s message is that durable automation depends on process, reliable data, and incremental adoption. When those are in place, intelligent quoting becomes a force multiplier instead of a risk.

And that is where Tuvoli is aiming next.
